There are many places in Windows where you will find Alpha ZIP functionality.

  • When you are browsing files in Windows Explorer, and click on a file with the right mouse button, a menu show up for this file. In this menu, you have an Alpha ZIP submenu that contain commands to compress this file. You can just select an entry from the menu and your file will be created.
  • Similarly, when the file you clicked on is a supported archive (such as a ZIP file), the menu will contain commands to do everything you can with the file, including Extract.
  • When clicking on multiple files or folders, you can combine these together into one archive file.
  • The properties of a ZIP file contains an extra page that displays the ZIP file comment.
