Sometimes it can happen that your Alpha ZIP installation becomes corrupted and the uninstall doesn't work anymore.

In this case, you can follow these steps to manually uninstall Alpha ZIP:

  1. Remove the registry settings.
To do this, run unregister.bat, which is default located here:
    C:\Program Files\Alpha ZIP\unregister.bat
  2. Restart your computer. Alpha ZIP will now no longer be loaded, so that you can now remove all files.
  3. Remove all the program files.
The program files are by default located here:
    C:\Program Files\Alpha ZIP
    Just remove the whole folder.
  4. Remove the Start Menu entries.
You can just right-click on the Alpha ZIP submenu and select Delete from the menu that appears.

That's it, Alpha ZIP should now be removed completely from your system.

After Alpha ZIP has been uninstalled this way, it will still show up in "Add/Remove Programs" in Control Panel. To remove this, just download the attached file, save it to your hard disk, and double-click the file in Windows Explorer.
