Error: Invalid install.log - What do I do?

When Alpha ZIP is installed on a Windows version that uses non-latin characters, the uninstall can give the following error:

Invalid install.log

To uninstall Alpha ZIP in such a situation, follow these steps:

  1. Open the file install.log, by default located in C:\Program Files\Alpha ZIP.
  2. The file will contain lines with strange characters. Remove these lines and save.
  3. Run the uninstall again. It should now work.
  4. The uninstall will not have removed the icons in the start menu. You have to do this manually, by right-clicking on the Alpha ZIP menu and choosing Delete.

If this does not work, please refer to the manual uninstall instructions.
