When Alpha ZIP is installed on a Windows version that uses non-latin characters, the uninstall can give the following error:
Invalid install.log
To uninstall Alpha ZIP in such a situation, follow these steps:
- Open the file install.log, by default located in C:\Program Files\Alpha ZIP.
- The file will contain lines with strange characters. Remove these lines and save.
- Run the uninstall again. It should now work.
- The uninstall will not have removed the icons in the start menu. You have to do this manually, by right-clicking on the Alpha ZIP menu and choosing Delete.
