Create
and extract LHA files with Alpha ZIP
LHA
is the file name extension for a compressed file that was created
by an compression program called LHARC. This is not a tool that
is in frequent use nowadays, as it was replaced by a compression
program called LHA, which produces files with the extension LZH.
Confusing but true!

Nevertheless,
you may come across LHA compression every now and then (if
you've ever owned an Amiga you are likely to be familiar with them),
and in order to access the compressed data you need Alpha ZIP.
As well as working with numerous other file types, this friendly
compression tool is a powerful LHA extractor, and can also create
LHA files should you wish to do so.
The
unique level of Windows integration enables you to do more
in less time. With Alpha ZIP, you can open LHA files and other
archives and browse them just like folders on your hard disk.
Just locate the file in Windows Explorer, and double-click it
- Explorer will then simply browse the file as if it were a folder.
Unlike some other LHA extractors, Alpha ZIP will show
all folders and subfolders correctly, in the way you are accustomed
to from Windows Explorer.
As
well as handling LHA compression, Alpha ZIP works with
rar, 7-zip, gzip, cab, tar and
more. With an intuitive interface, handy email integration and
easy file conversion between formats,
this compression tool is the solution you're looking for.
