Self-Extracting Files (SFX)
Normally, when you send an archive file to someone, this other person needs software
that can handle this type of archive.
Self-Extracting Files provide a solution for this: A Self-Extracting File contains
the software to open the box and retrieve all files and folders from it, without
needing any extra software.
Self-Extracting Files are a great solution if you are creating files for other
Windows users but are not sure they have the necessary software installed. But
they will not work on other systems such as Unix, Linux or Macintosh.
