Alpha ZIP is a complete suite of tools for
working with archives. The easiest way to work with Alpha ZIP is to use it through
Windows itself via the shell extension. Due to the shell integration of Alpha
ZIP there is no need to spend time learning how to use the application: you will
be able to work with archives as you are able to work with folders in Windows
Explorer. For this the basic functions are listed below:
New Archive - you can create a new archive (of any type) anytime.
Open/View Archive - explore any archive as it was an ordinary folder
Add Files - add files to your archives
Move Files - move files from/to any archive
Delete Files - delete files from any archive
Rename Files - rename files from any archive
Create Subfolders - organize your data contained in any archive by creating new folders inside an archive
View Properties of a Specific File - view
the properties of a specific file (selected file)
Set File Comments - add comments to any file in an archive
Delete Archive - delete an archive with all
its content
Convert Archive to a Different Format - convert an archive from a format to another
Run Program Inside an Archive (including a setup of a program) - run applications contained in an archive: now it is no need to extract the content first and after that to run application.
Drag and Drop - drag and drop item in and out of the archive
You can see that Alpha ZIP is an easy to use, yet a very powerful tool for working with archives of any type.
